Masai Mara is Kenya’s finest wildlife reserve. Every July and August the great migration crosses the Grumeti river from Tanzania’s Serengeti plains, northwards to the Masai Mara. Coastal works with our flying partners in Kenya (www.flysafarilink.com) to fly to and from Masai Mara to the Serengeti.
The Northbound flight departs at 06:30hrs from Moshi, flies via Kilimanjaro, Arusha, Manyara and the Serengeti to arrive Tarime at 10:45hrs.
To reach Maasai Mara, from Tarime takes by car between 2 and 4 hours, depending on where in the Mara you want to go. The drive from Tarime to Migori, where you can catch the SafariLink flight to Mara, takes about one hour. On request Coastal might be able to stop at additional airstrips in the Serengeti.
The Southbound flight operates in the opposite direction in the afternoon, that is: Tarime take off at 14:30, Kogatende at 14:45, Grumeti at 16:10, Seronera at 16:45, Manyara at 17:30 and finally Kilimanjaro… on time for dinner.
